  • Maryuri

My name is Maryuri and I was born and raised in the ever so warm and eventful Caracas - Venezuela. Back in my home town and through a scholarship program, I pursued a teaching degree in Specialised Pedagogics and Instruction. In order to grow professionally, in my early 20’s I moved to England and obtained my certification for teaching English to non-native speakers with Cambridge University. Due to my love for learning and language teaching, I got certified by Universitat de Barcelona to teach Spanish as Foreign Language. I have lived overseas and taught at international schools for the past 18 years. Diverse and fantastic destinations such as Kuwait, Denmark and now Belgium have been the scenario for meeting incredible parents and colleagues, travelling lots and learning about a variety of cultures and traditions. I am a proud mother of two that can often be seen rummaging at book sales, visiting local museums, enjoying ethnic festivals and shopping away at flea markets. I like teaching at Kids&Us and I am grateful for this opportunity. Day by day, I can clearly see that this method works! In addition to deeply enjoying singing and dancing my heart out in every lesson ;)

  • Alice

Hi! My name is Alice and I come from Belgium. I studied languages (German and English) and I have a Master’s degree in translation. I also did a specialization in didactic and I have now two years of experience working kids and teens as a teacher. I have been teaching at Kids&Us for one year. I have always been keen on learning foreign languages. I speak French, English, German and I’m currently learning Spanish. I love teaching because it gives me the chance to include my passion in my job: theatre. In my opinion, teaching is like performing on a stage, and it’s a real challenge because you constantly have to keep the children’s attention and often improvise as well. It’s always very stimulating and fun! I am particularly fond of the Kids&Us teaching method because it turns out to be very efficient, innovating and fun at the same time!

  • Andreinna

Hi, my name is Andreinna. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Cali, Colombia, where salsa rhythm and the city's cheerful nature makes inevitable that any outsider or local falls in love with it. I have a bachelor's degree in foreign languages and more than five years of experience working with kids as a teacher. Brussels' multicultural diversity motivated me to start a long journey to pursue my professional and personal goals. I keep being fascinated by the wonderful process of learning a new language, especially with little kids who learn in such a natural, spontaneous way. Kids&Us has given me the opportunity to keep growing as a professional by doing something I love, in a working/learning environment that, paradoxically, most of the times makes me forget I'm away from home. Meeting my sweet students every class makes me realize not only that I made the right decision by coming to this charming country but also that I made the right decision by choosing a career that allows me being part of a child's growth and intellectual development.

Hi! My name is Florence and I was born in Belgium. I lived in London for four years where I studied singing and music management. I have been working at Kids&Us since February 2013 and I am amazed by how quickly children can learn a language and how rewarding it is to share my knowledge with them. I am also a Kids&Us Teachers' Trainer and an Academic Coordinator in Stockel. In my spare time I enjoy playing squash and going to the gym but my passion is music and I sing in several different bands. I also love travelling and discovering different cultures and languages. My dream trip would be a road trip across the United States.

My name is Ambika and I work at the T&T school as a Coordinator and teacher. I grew up in India and English was always a language that intrigued me as a child. I was able to attend an international school and through this experience I quickly became bilingual. I've been teaching at Kids&Us for four years and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I think the colourful teaching materials at Kids&Us are really fun and inspire and motivate the children to learn English. This makes teaching a real pleasure as the classes are so creative and the children discover that learning can be a pleasure rather than a chore. I'm also teaching babies and toodlers in some nurseries and this adds a spark to my day. My hobbies are dancing "Bharatnatyam", a classical Indian dance and meditation as it allows me to reconnect with myself. One day I would love to take my rucksack and travel around the world to discover new cultures and languages.

Hello, my name is Loretta. I come from Croatia. When I was young I lived abroad with my family and attended International and American schools. I've been teaching at Kids&Us for three years now. I love the methodology and how children can learn English and have fun at the same time. When I’m not teaching English I enjoy spending time with my family. See you in class!

Hi, my name is Diana and I’m an English teacher. This is my second year at Kids&Us and I hope to be here for many more to come. My job is my passion. I knew I wanted to be an English teacher from the age of five when I would pretend to be a teacher for my younger siblings. I love babies and really enjoy teaching them as well as working with the older children and teenagers. I also have experience teaching adults. Although teaching takes up most of my time I also like to travel. One day I hope to be able to say that I have visited every country on Earth!

  • Carla

Hi! My name is Carla and I come from Barcelona. I started teaching in Kids&Us three years ago as a summer camp leader in Barcelona. An Erasmus during my last year of my bachelor in Humanities allowed me to work as an English and Spanish teacher in Kids&Us Wemmel, and after coming back to Barcelona for a year and working in Kids&Us there I decided to come back to Belgium to study a Master and to continue my adventure with Kids&Us. What I love the most about my job is seeing how my students progress through the year. When I'm not teaching or studying I love wandering around the city to discover new spots, reading a good book with a warm cup of tea or watching series wrapped in a cozy blanket.

  • Gloria

Hello, my name is Gloria and I come from Italy. I've always had a great passion for foreign languages and cultures and that's why I opted for studying English at university. It amazes me how speaking English can open so many doors to wonderful places and different people! It broadens your mind and this is what I wish for the children at Kids&Us. In my free time I like spending time outdoor in the nature, doing yoga, cycling or sewing. Looking forward to meeting you!

  • Angela

My name is Angela. I am British and have lived my entire life in the South-West of England... until now! I have only been living in Brussels for 1 year but I love my new home; the city, the forest, the food and the people! I am working hard to learn French, therefore I completely understand the joy and frustration from learning a new language. However the incredible Kids&Us methodolgy means that the students learn in such a fun way they don't even notice it happening. When I'm not working, doing my French homework or spending time with my family, I love cycling around my neighbourhood trying to spot things I haven't noticed before.
